Rooted in Napa. Refined in Sonoma.
Now Poured in Greenwich.
With over ten years living and working in California’s top wine regions, I’ve come to believe the best bottles are the ones worth sharing. Continental has been doing that for over 60 years—and now, I’m proud to continue the story.

From Napa to Greenwich: A Sommelier’s Journey
How a decade in wine country led to a new chapter — and a new kind of neighborhood wine shop.
My journey began at the University of Denver’s Fritz Knoebel School of Hospitality with Wines of the World. One class turned into an obsession, setting me on the path toward becoming a sommelier.
In 2010, I helped open Shake Shack’s Upper East Side location—the third Shack in New York—and managed it until 2012. Under Danny Meyer’s team, I saw firsthand how enlightened hospitality makes people feel seen, not just served.
After New York, I returned to Boston to manage Vino Italiano, a shop dedicated to Italian wine. Immersed in Barolo, Brunello, and beyond, I discovered a true passion for Italy’s vineyards, even while knowing my path in wine was only beginning.
A birthday trip to Napa changed everything. Somewhere between vineyard tastings and dusty cellar doors, it clicked: if I was serious about wine, what was I still doing in Boston?
By fall, I packed up and moved west to Napa Valley. I enrolled in the Culinary Institute of America’s Accelerated Wine & Beverage Program, studying under Master Sommeliers Robert Bath and Christie Dufault.
In Healdsburg, the center of Sonoma wine country, I found both a career and a home. At Cartograph Wines, I gained hands-on experience with Pinot Noir and small-lot winemaking—while also meeting my future wife.
Through JJ Buckley, I traveled to Bordeaux for En Primeur and to Burgundy. Dinners at Château Latour, lunch at Château Margaux, and tastings at domaines like Raveneau and Dujac gave me a deeper appreciation for Old World wine, terroir, and vintage character.
I returned to Bordeaux for another En Primeur campaign, diving deeper into futures tastings and studying how wine vintages shape the global fine wine market. Later that year, I left JJ Buckley to pursue my MBA at USC’s Marshall School of Business, where I served as president of the wine club—blending business education with my passion for wine and hospitality
After business school, I shifted into hospitality tech—first with Toast, then with SpotOn—helping restaurants and wine bars grow through better tools. But I never stopped tasting, traveling, and studying wine, keeping one foot in hospitality and the other firmly in the vineyard.
After more than a decade in California, I returned to the East Coast with my wife and son—ready for a new chapter and a chance to bring everything I’d learned in wine and hospitality back home.
In 2025, I became the owner of Continental Fine Wines in Greenwich. My vision: to transform an overlooked wine shop into a destination worth seeking out.
This isn’t just a wine store—it’s a sommelier’s take on what local should taste like.

When it comes to wine, Corey’s knowledge is second to none. I worked with him to decide the quantity and type of wine for my wedding and it was one of the best decisions I made. He not only recommended great wine but also helped my dollar go a long way. We received many compliments from our guests on the wine selection we chose!
